Veteran Nigerian actor Jimi Solanke's burial will be held on Friday, April 5, at a private cemetery.

His family confirmed the arrangements on Tuesday. The funeral service will take place at the Methodist Church Nigeria in Ipara-Remo, Ogun State. 

Solanke passed away on Monday, February 5, 2024, at the age of 81. The week-long activities will begin with a choral concert at Ibudo Asa, Ipara Remo, on Monday, April 1, 2024.

Other events include a night of tribute at Freedom Park, Lagos, candlelight processions at Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Osun State, and Ipara-Remo, Ogun State.

On Saturday, April 6, cultural and masquerade displays, among other programs, will be held. The burial events will conclude on April 7, 2024, with a thanksgiving service.
