Popular Nigerian skit maker, Zicsaloma, has finally opened up about his decision to undergo rhinoplasty, a surgical procedure to reshape or reconstruct the nose.
The comedian, who had the surgery in January 2025 in Turkey, has been sharing updates on his post-surgery journey. However, his transformation sparked mixed reactions on social media, with many criticizing his decision to go under the knife.
Addressing the backlash in a YouTube video on Friday, Zicsaloma revealed that he had always dreamed of reshaping his nose since childhood due to insecurities. He shared how he was constantly mocked and ridiculed for having a flat nose, which deeply affected his self-esteem.
“Some people get rhinoplasty for medical reasons, like breathing issues, while others do it for aesthetics—like me. Since childhood, I’ve always wanted to reshape my flat nose because I was repeatedly told it was too big and ugly. If you don’t have the money or courage to fix your insecurities, that doesn’t mean you should judge those who do,” he said.
Zicsaloma’s candid revelation has sparked conversations about body image, self-confidence, and societal beauty standards.
