Stan Alieke, the lawyer representing controversial singer Speed Darlington, has officially cut ties with him.
Alieke, who runs the law firm Law Capitol, announced the separation in a post shared on his Instagram story.
He wrote, “I and my law firm (Law Capitol) have officially withdrawn from legally representing Mr. Darlington Achakpo, popularly known as Speed Darlington/Akpi, and we cease to act as his legal attorneys.”
This announcement comes just days after Speed Darlington's release from Kuje Prison, where he was detained for two months over allegations of cyberstalking music star Burna Boy.
During his prolonged detention, Alieke accused Burna Boy of using his influence to extend his client’s stay behind bars, alleging that Burna paid the police to target the singer.
The news of their legal fallout has sparked reactions online, as many fans continue to follow the dramatic twists surrounding Speed Darlington's legal battles.
