Israeli forces have surrounded Gaza's largest hospital, alleging that it houses Hamas's underground headquarters.
The terror group claims that civilians were affected by an Israeli strike on the medical center overnight. Hamas-run local authorities accused the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) of shelling areas around several hospitals in the northern part of the coastal strip, including Al-Shifa, Rantisi Children's Hospital, and the Indonesian Hospital.
Indonesia's foreign ministry reported explosions near the Indonesian hospital, while Al Quds Hospital is reportedly surrounded by tanks. The IDF denies targeting the Indonesian hospital and asserts compliance with international law.
Gaza officials report 13 casualties from strikes on Al-Shifa hospital, with Israel continuing missile attacks on other parts of Gaza.
Palestinian sources claim over 10,800 deaths in Gaza since Israel's retaliation for Hamas's October 7 attack, which resulted in 1,400 deaths in Israel and 240 hostages.
