After six days of voting for the next president of the republic of Kenya, the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission is now set to announce the result of the tightly contested presidential election.

Though the ceremony was initially scheduled to hold by 3 PM EAT (1 PM Nigerian Time) but the commission is yet to make the announcement.

The election is between the incumbent deputy president, Mr Ruto of UDA, and former Prime Minister of the country, Mr Odinga of ODM.

It is not clear if there will be a rerun election as the constitution says that a winner must score 50% + 1 vote.

According to information obtained by Naijacrawl; Mr Ruto is leading with an extremely small margin but the margin might not be sufficient to declare him the winner.

With the uncertainty that follows the election many trader in Nairobi, the capital city of the country have been moving to other places, this is just to avoid another 2007 edition that thorned the country apart which led to the death of over 1000 people due to election violence.
