It was a tragic night in Ado Ekiti in Ekiti state yesterday night when some armed unknown men open fired on people that were in a viewing centre watching the kick off match of the English Premier League which commenced on Friday night between Manchester United and Leicester City haphazardly ended on a terrible note when three people; which include an aid to the ex-Governor of the state Segun Oni, the commissioner of Federal character commission Mr.



Bunmi Ojo were gunned down.

Though, the identity of the two people that were also shot dead are yet to be known but presumably will be some of the football fans that came to watch the match between Manchester united and Leicester city. 

 Reports have it that, it is six armed men that invaded the viewing centre and shot Ojo, who was a chieftain of the All Progressive Congress and two others during a sporadic shooting, the commissioner Ojo was said to have been shot in the head and stomach and his body has been deposited at the morgue of the Ekiti State University Teaching Hospital, Ado Ekiti .

The incident has risen the political tension in the state especially from the camp of Oni as many are beginning to read political meaning to the incidence, while somw are being seeing it as a retalatory act.

The Police Public Relation Officer, Ekiti Command, DSP Caleb Ikechukwu is yet to fully establish the incident.
