According to the information gathered by our reporters, we were meant to understand that a family hired one housa man to come and help draw off water from a soak away pit that was already filled with water. The Hausa man started the work and switched on the generator that he needed for the drawing off process. He now carelessly took the already on generator inside the pit with him but the smoke emanating from the generator got too much that the labourer couldn't come out again, so the people that hired him raised alarm and seeked the help of some able bodied men to come help rescue the man inside the pit. So the first out of the people called entered inside the pit but couldn't come out either, the second also entered and met the same fate and the remaining five entered in quick succession but all got trapped by the fumes and they lost their precious lives in the process.
