Mrs Kemi Adeosun, a former Minister of Finance, has spoken out about how she overcame the trauma of her resignation due to an alleged false National Youth Service Corps, or NYSC, certificate.

Following pressure from her problematic NYSC discharge certificate, the UK-born former minister handed her resignation letter on September 14, 2018, according to NAIJACRAWL.

Adeosun said she sobbed every day for three months at the period of her resignation, speaking at the 10th anniversary of the Uncommon Woman Conference, which was organized by the Jesus House Church in the United Kingdom.

Despite the fact that she had been vindicated by a court verdict, she said she didn't feel better until she sought counseling and therapy.

"I was very ashamed because I was into adolescent mentorship and all of that at the time." As a result, the event invalidated the teachings I had taught my adolescent students. I cried every day for three months, and throughout that time, I accomplished nothing for anyone or myself. She stated, "I just cried, cried, and cried."

"I thought becoming justified by the court would make me feel better, but I wasn't satisfied." Three years later, the court cleared my name, but it required another round of counseling and therapy before I felt well.
