Crossdressing is prohibited in Nigeria, according to a bill submitted in the Nigerian House of Representatives.

Umar Muda, a member of the House of Representatives, proposed the new measure.

The bill, which was read aloud on the House floor on Tuesday, April 5, wants to outlaw cross-dressing, save for those who do it for fun.

Popular crossdressers like Bobrisky, James Brown, and others could face six months in prison if this new ban becomes law.

The bill aims to alter the same-sex marriage (prohibition) act of 2013 by adding cross-dressing to the list of offenses under the act.

“A person engaging in cross-dressing is guilty of an offence and liable to imprisonment of six months or a fine of five hundred thousand naira.” The bill says

Meanwhile, crossdresser and Nigerian big girl, Bobrisky, has churned out a little piece of advice for 'broke men’, asking them to join him and other crossdressers in the ”crossdressing business” as it is now very lucrative.

If you are a man and you are still broke, Don’t waste time, just join this cross-dressing business. There is money in it. You can also cut your prick off if you want to upgrade well, "he said.
