President Muhammadu Buhari approved the construction of three new polytechnics in different sections of the country on Tuesday.
The permission was announced today in Abuja by Mr. Bem Goong, Director of Public Relations for the Federal Ministry of Education.
The new institutions, according to Goong, will be located in the states of Abia, Kano, and Delta.
President Muhammadu Buhari (GCFR) has approved the building of three new federal polytechnics in the country, in line with his goal of making tertiary education more accessible.
"The polytechnics would be built in Abia State's Umunnoechi, Delta State's Orogun, and Kano State's Kabo," he stated.
The new institutions, according to Goong, would begin academic operations in October 2022.
He said this would bring the number of federal polytechnics in the country to 36, with every state having one.
