As a result of this unfortunate incident, police detectives have taken swift action, apprehending both the girlfriend and the hotel owner where the tragic event unfolded.

The spokesperson for the state police command, Funmi Odunlami, confirmed the incident, revealing that Akintomowo had engaged in a sexual encounter with his girlfriend at a hotel situated in the Akinjagunla area of the community.

Odunlami stated, "The man (deceased) was not feeling alright after the sexual intercourse with the lady in the hotel, so he was rushed to the hospital and later died. The two suspects are still in our custody."

The investigation into the matter is ongoing, and the remains of the deceased have been deposited at the hospital morgue.

According to an eyewitness account, the girlfriend raised the alarm after Akintomowo collapsed in the hotel room. The hotel manager and concerned residents rushed to the scene in an attempt to revive him. Unfortunately, the efforts proved futile, and the victim was later confirmed dead by attending doctors.

Subsequently, the hotel management reported the incident at the Yaba Divisional Police Station in the community. Police detectives promptly visited the scene and evacuated the deceased's body to the University of Medical Sciences morgue in Ondo town.
