Mr.
Godwin Emefiele, governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), has sued the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), the Attorney General of the Federation (AGF), and three others in the Federal High Court in Abuja, seeking enforcement of his right to run for President in 2023 without resigning from his current position.
A hearing has been scheduled for today at 12 p.m. in his suit designated FHC/ABJ/CS/610/2022, filed on his behalf by a constitutional lawyer.
The Judge, Justice Ahmed Mohammed, who is handling the suit, fixed 12 o'clock to hear the

As of the time of filing this report, Emefiele’s supporters are already in court, in large numbers, to witness the proceedings.
