Just In : Former Heads of states,Yakubu Gowon, Olusegun Obasanjo,Goodluck Jonathan, and others were present at the council of state meeting which was headed by President Muhammad Buhari (Rtd) held at the council chamber of the state house, Abuja.

The meeting comes before the election which is just 14 days away from now amid the twin crisis facing the economy: Fuel scarcity and a cash crunched occasioned by the Central Bank naira redesign policy.

The chairman of INEC,Prof Mahmoud Yakubu , The Central Bank Governor,Godwin Emiefele and also the Inspector General of Police, Usman Baba and others were present to discuss the current crisis affecting the country.

The Council of State is an organ of The Federal Government of Nigeria which advises the executive on policy making.

Former President Olusegun Obasanjo joined the meeting virtually,while others present including Vice President,Prof Yemi Osinbajo , Senate President, Senator Ahmed Lawn, Speaker of The Federal House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila, Attorney General of The Federation and Minister Of Justice,Abubakar Malami and two Former Chief Justice were present at meeting.
