Gospel singer Kent Edunjobi credits his soaring success and increasingly hectic schedule to the impact of his hit song Ebenezeri, a track that has resonated deeply with audiences and critics alike.
In a recent interview with Sunday Scoop, Edunjobi described the song as a pivotal moment in his career. “Ebenezeri has been a life-changing experience which I never saw coming. It has been a journey of grace. Before the song, I was always busy, but now, things have got even busier. Still, we can’t complain. All glory goes back to the giver of the gift—the Father of Light,” he shared.
The singer also reflected on the powerful impact of his music, noting how listeners have been moved to share personal testimonies. “Seeing people give different testimonies just from listening to my music is definitely it. Music is powerful, as they say, and I’m witnessing its power firsthand in people’s lives,” he added.
Despite the challenges many associate with the gospel music industry, Edunjobi remains optimistic. “I wouldn’t really call it a challenge. Every challenge is an opportunity for greatness. It’s gospel—it’s the news of Christ we are propagating. I believe if there is any challenge, the Caller Himself will see to it and make every crooked way straight,” he said.
Looking ahead, the talented singer recently released a new song titled Ogo, which he described as a declaration of light and purpose. The inspiration for the track, he revealed, came during a prayer session.
“My new song is a declaration of light and purpose. We all carry light as sons and daughters of the Father of Light, and it’s our duty to shine brightly in our respective fields—whether as musicians, doctors, or engineers. It is a powerful song that encourages people to embrace and share the light they carry, inspiring others to come to the light of the Father,” Edunjobi explained.
