The picture of Mrs Toyin has been circulating the internet and it was rumoured that Mrs Toyin parked her Toyota SUV to plunge into the Lagos lagoon, beneath the third mainland bridge.

The incident which happened on Sunday has been refuted by Mrs Toyin herself, on her Instagram handle. She said captioned a picture of herself saying "“Am alive, and I will live long on earth.” She claimed the rumours aren't true and it was misconception from onlookers, she explained in a phone conversation with security officials that she only came down from the car and render help, that it was her husband that drove the car and none of them jumped into the lagoon.

The woman said she and her husband are living well and happily and have no cause to consider suicide. She said her husband has reported what transpired at the Bridge to the appropriate government authorities. However, the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA) on Tuesday dismissed trending video clip of a woman who allegedly parked her SUV Ford Explorer and jumped into the lagoon at the Third Mainland Bridge in Lagos. The agency also confirmed that the owner of the Jeep was just a good Samaritan who only stopped by to offer assistance. LASEMA has dismissed all speculations, saying investigation still continues by relevant security agency. Earlier, a Facebook user claimed the woman had jumped into Third Mainland Bridge because her husband found out about an affair she was carrying out with a Nigerian-based man and when he did a DNA test on all three of his kids he found out none was his.
