The Ibadan Electricity Distribution Company, IBEDC, has issued an apology to customers over power disruptions in various parts of Osun State and other service areas on Saturday.

In a statement shared on its official X account, IBEDC attributed the disruptions to forced outages, load shedding, earth faults and disconnections for non-payment.

The company noted that the affected areas were supplied by several 11kV feeders.

It reassured customers of its commitment to resolving the issues promptly to restore stable electricity supply.

“We deeply regret the inconvenience caused by these outages.
Our team is working tirelessly to resolve the faults and ensure that our customers enjoy uninterrupted power supply,” it said.

IBEDC also reminded customers of the importance of timely bill payments to avoid disconnection, and to sustain service delivery.

The company pledged to improve communication and keep customers informed of updates through its official channels.

The electricity provider further urged the public to report any faults or emergencies through its helplines, promising a swift response to minimise disruptions.

“We value your patience and cooperation during this period,” it added.

Customers affected by the outages have expressed frustration, urging IBEDC to expedite repairs and address recurring power supply challenges in the region.
