The Governor of Lagos State, Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has appointed Basirat Damilola Marshall as his Senior Special Assistant on Tourism.



Basirat Damilola Marshall, daughter of renowned Fuji maestro, King Wasiu Ayinde Marshall, a.k.a KWAM1, received this appointment amidst gratitude expressed by her father in a viral video circulating online.

In the heartwarming video, KWAM1, while performing on stage at the coronation and birthday reception of Oba Sikirullah Apena, thanked Governor Sanwo-Olu for entrusting his daughter with this responsibility. He specifically noted that it was at Damilola's insistence that he publicly expressed appreciation to the governor for her appointment.

The news was met with congratulatory messages flooding Damilola's Instagram page, @damimarshall_, from well-wishers and friends alike. Olanrewaju-Smart Wasiu, a Nigerian, extended his congratulations, praising her hard work and contributions to the party. In response, Damilola expressed gratitude for the recognition.

Similarly, Balogun Basia joined in the felicitations, congratulating KWAM1 and the entire family on Damilola's appointment. He wished her success in her new role and anticipated more blessings for her and her siblings in the future.
