A young woman took to social media to congratulate her 80-year-old grandmother on earning a master's degree.

Shortly before her 80th birthday, the octogenarian finally realized her lifelong ambition of earning a master's degree, and she is being praised for her fervor and determination.

Her grand-daughter announced that her grandmother received a Masters in Business Administration after sharing images from her convocation event on Twitter.

"Grandmother is getting her diploma!" She just finished her MBA (Master of Business Administration) and is about to be 80!!! She captioned the photographs, "Never give up on your dreams."

The post, however, generated mixed reactions on the micro-blogging platform. While some congratulated the grandma on the feat, others questioned her decision to get a masters at her age.
