Olugbenga Owolabi, the owner of the hotel, and Rachel Opadele, a staff member and student at Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), Ogbomoso, were reportedly abducted last Thursday at Abaa in Ogbomoso and killed after the family allegedly paid a N5 million ransom.

While the other person is receiving medical attention at an undisclosed location, the okada driver who drove the person who took the ransom there was also shot dead out of rage.

A family source told Naijacrawl that the money for the ransom was taken there last night near the Igbon neighborhood of the Ogbomoso-Ilorin road, and that the kidnappers counted the money to make sure it was equal to the agreed amount.

But when they learned that soldiers had stormed Ogbomoso yesterday, purportedly to provide security in response to the rising tides of kidnapping in the region, they became even more incensed.

Soldiers were sent to Ogbomoso yesterday, but the bandits believed we had invited them, so they started shooting at the victims and the men who had come to collect the ransom money.

She added that the corpses would be evacuated this morning.

He absolved the traditional ruler of Abaa, Alabaa of Aba, who assisted in finding the person who volunteered to take the ransom there, disclosing that the people of Abaa are currently pointing accusing fingers at Alabaa.

Details shortly...
