Onyeka Onwenu just performed at Mrs. Stella Okoli's birthday today (Tuesday, July 30, 2024), and after performing, she slumped. She was taken to Reddington Hospital and she couldn’t make it," the witness recounted.

Born on January 31, 1952, Onwenu was a prominent figure in Nigeria's music scene and a respected rights activist. She held notable positions, including chairperson of the Imo State Council for Arts and Culture and Executive Director/Chief Executive Officer of the National Centre for Women Development, appointed in 2013.
