The All Progressives Congress (APC) has urged the people of the Southwest geopolitical zone to cast a large number of votes for party candidates in the governorship and state assembly elections on Saturday.



The ruling party specifically urged people to support APC candidates in the states of Ogun, Lagos, and Oyo.

Hon. Isaacs Kekemeke, the party's National Vice Chairman (South-West), made the call in a press statement that was made available to journalists in Akure, the capital of Ondo State.

The APC leader commended Nigerians from all parts of the country for their support of Bola Tinubu as president-elect and urged the Southwest to back the party's candidates in the March 11 governorship and assembly elections.

When they use their votes to elect APC governors and state lawmakers in their respective states, the people of the Southwest will fully benefit from Tinubu's presidency, according to Kekemeke, a former Secretary to the State Government (SSG) and the first Chairman of the National Examination Council (NECO).

He expressed confidence in the ability and willingness of the President-elect to change the narration and reduce current hardship in the country as a result of naira scarcity.

Kekemeke also called on the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, to create a level playing field for all candidates during the forthcoming polls.
