The Oyo state government has started demolishing the music house of Fresh FM in Ibadan, the radio station own by the ace musician Yinka Ayefele has been marked for demolition some weeks ago but the decision by the government has been controversial since then.

The music house which is estimated at 800 million naira was marked for demolition by the government because it was erected out of Oyo state urban plan and this has been causing accident along the axis.

With the decision of marking the music house for demolition, the management of Fresh FM filed a law suit to constrain the government from demolishing the building but seem the government does not wait for the verdict of the court before proceeding to demolish the structure, an action which many people considered unlawful.

It will be recalled that last week some citizens of the state protested about the decision of the government to demolish the music house and they stated that the decision is politically motivated, citing that, the radio station was marked for demolition because it is not pro-Ajumobi administration radio station.

The structure which is being valued at 800 million naira has been demolished by the government and people are anxiously waiting for the next step to be taken by the music house management.
