Bola Ajiboye, the wife of Pastor Johnson Ajiboye of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, RCCG, was freed from captivity.

According to dependable sources who spoke to the Daily Post, she was freed by her captors on Wednesday after they received a N1 million ransom and some food.

However, according to the sources, a person who was going to deliver the ransom and the food was apprehended after delivering the items.

At Elerinjare village, close to Idofian town, in Ifelodun Local Government of Kwara State, Mrs. Ajiboye was abducted on Thursday night.

One of her daughters miraculously escaped during the operation at her home amidst intermittent gunfire.

In a reaction, the spokesman of the State police command, SP Okasanmi Ajayi, said in a text message to the Daily Post: “I don’t have any comment on that for now, please.”
