The barrister cum singer, Mr Falana popularly known as Falz that produced the trending song "This is Nigeria" has vowed to sue the Nigerian Broadcasting Commission (NBC) if the commission failed to lift the ban imposed on airing his song by radio and television stations.
It will recalled that NBC fined a certain radio station in Rivers state a sum of #100,000 during the week for airing the song which the commission said was unfit for airplay because of one of the line: "This is Nigeria, look how we are living now, everybody is a criminal". And the commission said its contravene section 3.6.1 of its constitution.
The song has been controversial since its release because few weeks after the release of the song the Muslim Rights Concern (MURIC) called for the song to be taken down because the video of the song 'ridicule' hijab's usage, but the group later halted its decision.
However, Falz has said he will do a thorough research concerning the reason NBC ban his song through his lawyers and if the commission failed to rescind its decision then he will definitely sue NBC.
