A truck transporting cows to Enugu from Wudil overturned on the Maiduguri Road flyover in Kano.

The vehicle was carrying 28 cows, sheep, onions, and dates when it somersaulted at the Hotoro flyover.


One of the passengers, Hashim Rabiu Tamburawa, reported to Daily Trust that the accident occurred after the truck left Wudil for Enugu. He speculated that brake failure might have caused the accident.


Police officers, Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) officials, and state fire service personnel quickly arrived at the scene to assist those injured. Some of the victims were taken to Sir Sanusi Hospital at Yan Kaba.


Fortunately, no deaths have been reported from the accident so far.
