Sad stories have been recorded of two young teenagers perishing at separate times at Mkar Hills Dam and Kontien Stream located in Gboko, which is the administrative base of Gboko Local Government Area in Benue State.

The first accident was reported on Saturday, June 22, 2024, and involved Kumater Kachii, a twelve-year-old boy from Trinity Primary School, who had gone to collect firewood from Mkar Hill together with his sibling.

The duo lost their lives at the Dam, and this has created a great concern for the community.

The bodies of the deceased have been deposited.
