The deceased, identified as Alex Umezuruike was said to be vying for the position of a CDC chairman in his community prior to his death.

It was reported that his interest in the position led to rivalry from other interested persons which resulted in his demise.

According to reports, he was killed by unknown gun men who later dumped the remains of his body by the road side with head, hand and manhood chopped off.

Residents of the community are now living in fear and a number of them have fled.

As at the time of filing this report, the cause of his death is still unknown.
