In a horrifying twist, Taiwo Yemitan and his twin brother Kehinde have been arrested for the brutal murder of a young girl in Abeokuta, Ogun State, allegedly for ritualistic purposes.
Investigative journalist Kunle Akinrinade uncovered an exclusive audio confession, exposing the brothers’ chilling involvement in a series of heinous crimes and the tragic fate of their most recent victim, Darasimi.
Twins Turned Killers: From Heroes to Villains
At 47 years old, Taiwo and Kehinde Yemitan have shattered the cultural expectations of twins as symbols of good fortune in Yoruba tradition. Instead of upholding their family’s honor, the brothers have become notorious for their alleged involvement in a dark kidnapping syndicate. They were accused of luring victims for brutal killings, dismembering their bodies, and selling parts for ritualistic purposes.
Previously working as carpenters, the Yemitan brothers turned to horrific practices involving human sacrifices to fuel their sinister activities. Their latest victim, Darasimi, a sex worker, was lured to their hideout in Abeokuta's Premier area, where she was mercilessly murdered and dismembered.
The Arrest: A Dramatic Capture
Taiwo Yemitan's arrest occurred on December 22, 2024, along with an accomplice, Kazeem. While Kehinde initially managed to evade capture, diligent police work and surveillance led to his arrest on December 30, 2024, by the Ogun State Police Command, with the help of local security agencies.
The capture of the Yemitan brothers marks a significant turn in the investigation, with authorities working to uncover the full extent of their gruesome criminal activities.
