Thursday saw the arrival of Federal Capital Territory Minister Nyesom Wike at the scene of a collapsed building in Garki II, Abuja.
A two-story building with numerous business centers collapsed on Wednesday night around 10 p.m., according to The Daily Post.
In a Thursday morning press conference at the scene of the incident, Wike reiterated his earlier statement that unapproved buildings in the nation's capital would be demolished.
“This is what we are saying: any building without approval will go down.
“We don’t hate anybody. All we are saying is that the proper thing should be done,” he said.
