APC presidential candidate Bola Tinubu's campaign banner, which featured images of him, his running mate Kashim Shettima, and President Muhammad Buhari, was defaced by some young people from the North.
The young people were seen throwing stones at the banner before setting it ablaze in a video that was going viral online.
The incident took place in Kaduna State's Zaria Local Government Area.
Additionally, they were heard yelling "Bamayi," which is Swahili for "We don't want you."
Peter Obi's running mate and native of Zaria is Datti Baba-Ahmed of the Labour Party.
As the APC's chosen candidate for president, Tinubu was chosen in June.
In the election, which was held in Eagles Square, Abuja, he received 1,271 votes.
Rotimi Amaechi, a former governor of Rivers State, came in last with 316 votes, while vice president Yemi Osinbajo received 235.
Governor Yahaya Bello and Senate President Ahmed Lawan received 152 and 47 votes, respectively.
A few weeks later, Tinubu, a Muslim, announced a fellow Muslim, Kashim Shettima, a former Borno governor, as his running mate.
This has been condemned by many Christians and some Muslims alike.
