Oleksandr Usyk retained his WBA, WBO, and WBC heavyweight titles after defeating Tyson Fury by unanimous decision on Saturday, December 21, at the Kingdom Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

The judges scored the bout 116-112 across the board, cementing Usyk’s dominance in their highly anticipated rematch.

The two heavyweight titans first clashed in May, where Usyk edged Fury with a razor-thin split decision (115-112, 113-114, 114-113). That historic victory made Usyk the first undisputed heavyweight champion since Lennox Lewis in 2000.

In the rematch, Usyk’s precision and power made the difference. According to CompuBox, the Ukrainian landed 170 total punches compared to Fury’s 157. He also outperformed Fury in power punches, connecting 122 to Fury’s 95, showcasing his superior striking ability.

The fight was a masterclass in technical boxing from Usyk, as he successfully neutralized Fury's size and reach advantages. Fans and analysts alike have hailed Usyk's performance as a testament to his skill and resilience, solidifying his place among the all-time greats in heavyweight boxing.

The Kingdom Arena in Riyadh provided a spectacular setting for the rematch, attracting global attention and further elevating the sport's prestige. As Usyk continues his reign, the boxing world eagerly awaits his next challenge.
