Antonio Conte has finally reacted to his dismissal by Tottenham.

This is the first time the Italian will be speaking since Sunday, when his sacking was made public.

He sent a message to the club’s fans, thanking them and letting them know it was all over.

The Italians lambasted the players after their 3-3 draw with Southampton at the weekend, calling them selfish, and also slammed the club’s hierarchy for not offering the needed support to managers.

Conte wrote on Instagram: “Football is passion." I would like to deeply thank everyone at SPURS who appreciated and shared my passion and my intense way of living football as a coach.

“‘A special thought to the fans who always showed me support and appreciation; it’s been unforgettable to hear them sing my name.

“Our journey together has ended, I wish you all the best for the future. Antonio.”
