Arsenal is prepared to sabotage Chelsea's acquisitions of Everton's Amadou Onana and Brighton's Moises Caicedo from the Premier League's London rivals.
Last week, Chelsea made two unsuccessful bids for Caicedo, 21, with the second one being thought to be worth around £55 million.
Even though the midfielder claimed on Tuesday that he was "focused" on staying with Brighton, he is interested in joining Chelsea.
Although they are realistic about keeping the Ecuadorian international in the long run, Brighton are expected to fend off any offers for Caicedo this summer.
Caicedo could potentially leave the Seagulls as a result, and the Evening Standard reports that Chelsea will face competition from Arsenal for the player's services.
According to the report, Mikel Arteta's team is also interested in signing Onana, who is a target for Chelsea.
