Barcelona confirmed on Thursday that their striker Robert Lewandowski has sustained a left ankle sprain.

Recall that Lewandowski came off injured in the first half of Barcelona’s UEFA Champions League 1-0 win over Porto on Wednesday.
He was replaced by Ferran Torres after 34 minutes of Barcelona’s tie with Porto.
However, in a statement via Barcelona’s website, the 35-year-old will remain out of action until the injury heals.
This means that the former Bayern Munich attacker could miss Barcelona’s next four matches against Granada, Athletic Club, Shakhtar Donetsk, and Real Madrid later this month.
“Tests conducted this Thursday morning have revealed that Robert Lewandowski has sprained his left ankle and will be out of action until the injury heals,” Barcelona’s statement reads.
