"Bild" has reported that Barcelona has prepared what could be their final bid for Robert Lewandowski.
The cited source has revealed that "Los Azulgranas" are considering a deal worth 37 million euros, including add-ons.
Robert Lewandowski's story is without doubt one of the biggest stories of this summer’s transfer window. The Pole wants to leave Bayern Munich as his contract only has one year left on it. Despite interest from PSG and Manchester United, the team he wants to move to is Barcelona.
Los Azulgranas view the attacker as the "plan B" for missing out on Erling Haaland after he signed for Manchester City. However, the German giants have put obstacles in the way of negotiating a deal for Lewandowski since Barca’s interest in him began. Conversations have also been difficult for "Los Azulgranas" due to the difficult economic situation they find themselves in.
The club from the Allianz Arena have put a 50 million euro price tag on Lewandowski, a figure that has been disregarded by Barcelona. After numerous attempts to sign the Pole, "Bild" has revealed that Barca have now prepared what will theoretically be their final offer for the player.
Joan Laporta’s thinking is to put 37 million euros on the table. Five of said million will be paid based on performance variables. The offer is due to arrive at the Bavarian club this week. Lewandowski’s agent, Pini Zahavi, has already explained this to the board at the club.
While Bayern search for the resolution of the 'Lewandowski headache’, the reigning Bundesliga champions are looking for his replacement should he leave the club. The most likely option at this moment in time is the 40 million euro Sadio Mane.
