The 2023 Africa U-17 Cup of Nations will be hosted by Algeria, while another North African country, Egypt, will host the U-20 competition.

The Golden Eaglets and Flying Eagles have already qualified for both competitions.

The Olympic Eagles will battle Guinea for a place in the 2023 Africa U-23 Cup of Nations, hosted by Morocco.

Nigeria Professional Football League champions Rivers United are in the CAF Confederation Cup group stage.

CAF stated that VAR will be present at all venues of the underage tournaments, while it will be introduced to the interclub competitions from the quarterfinal stage.
