Four key Chelsea players will miss the second leg of their Champions League quarter-final clash against Real Madrid at the Santiago Bernabeu on Tuesday.
Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel said this during his pre-match press conference on Monday.
According to Tuchel, Callum Hudson-Odoi, Ben Chilwell, Romelu Lukaku, and Ross Barkley will not play against Real Madrid, either.
Tuchel's team is coming off a 3-1 loss to Real Madrid in the first leg last week.
Over the weekend, Chelsea thrashed Southampton 6-0 at St Mary's in the Premier League, while Real Madrid defeated Getafe 2-0 in LaLiga.
“Callum Hudson-Odoi is still out, Ben Chilwell is still out, Romelu Lukaku will not travel with us due to his pain in the Achilles,” Tuchel told reporters on Monday.
Azpilicueta has tested negative several times and is in the group. Ross Barkley is sick and will not travel. ”
The kick-off time for Real Madrid vs. Chelsea is 8 p.m.
