Josh Maja has been ruled out of action for eight weeks after sustaining an ankle ligament injury.

The forward copped the injury in West Bromwich Albion’s 0-0 draw at Bristol City last weekend.

The 24-year-old was injured in second half stoppage time at the Ashton Gate.

The Nigerian will miss around 10 games due to the injury.

Maja joined West Brom on a free transfer this summer.

The forward left Ligue 2 club, Girondins Bordeaux, at the end of last season following the expiration of his contract.
