Wilfred Ndidi is enjoying his new position within the Leicester City team.
Ndidi, who is a defensive midfielder, has been moved high up the field by Italian manager, Enzo Maresca this season.
The 26-year-old has rewarded Maresca’s faith by adapting to the new position.
The Nigerian has scored thrice for the former Premier League champions this season.
Ndidi won the penalty that was converted by Jamie Vardy for the Foxes winning goal against Bristol City at the King Power Stadium on Saturday.
Ndidi credited Maresca for his impressive displays this season.
“Kudos to the manager because he’s trying to help me understand the role. He’s trying to help me,” he told the club’s official website.
“The guys who naturally play in that role are helping me too. It’s a process. It’s going well, but I’ll keep going. It’s very interesting because I try to get in the box more often. I’ve always had it but it’s taken Enzo to make me know I’ve actually got it. He’s trying to push me.”
