Manchester City playmaker Kevin de Bruyne and Chelsea Football Club have reacted to Belgium captain Eden Hazard’s retirement from international football.
Hazard announced his retirement from the Belgium national team on Wednesday at the age of 31, following their elimination from the ongoing 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar a few days ago.
The Real Madrid star, in a post via his Instagram account, said, “I have decided to put an end to my international career.”
Responding to Hazard’s post, Chelsea wrote on Instagram, “One of the all-time Belgian greats!”
On his part, De Bruyne said the former Chelsea star would be missed.
De Bruyne wrote on Twitter, “What a journey it has been." Congratulations Capi. "You'll be missed!”
