Victor Ezeji has expressed disappointment with the performance of Gombe United at the Naija Super 8 zonal playoffs.

The Savannah Scorpions suffered a 2-1 defeat against Nigeria National League side Yobe Desert Stars at the Eket Township Stadium on Saturday.

Ezeji stated that the Gombe United gaffer, Aliyu Zubairu, needs to work extremely hard on his team before the commencement of the Nigeria Premier League season.

“This is a disappointing performance from Gombe United,” the NPL legend told Naijacrawl in Eket.
“I expected a lot from this team after their exploits in the league last season.
“Coach Aliyu Zubairu needs to work extremely hard to get his players in shape before the start of the new season.”
