The Football Association (FA) has launched an investigation into Tottenham Hotspur fans' behavior during their 4-3 loss to Chelsea in the Premier League on Sunday.
During the match, some Spurs supporters threw objects onto the pitch.
Tottenham initially took a 2-0 lead within the first 11 minutes, with goals from Dominic Solanke and Dejan Kulusevski. However, Chelsea made a dramatic comeback with a strike from Jadon Sancho, two penalties by Cole Palmer, and a goal from Enzo Fernandez. Son Heung-min's late goal only served as a consolation for Spurs.
Ahead of the match, Tottenham fans in the South Stand were given pieces of paper to create a giant tifo displaying the club's motto, “audere est facere,” meaning "to dare is to do." Unfortunately, some supporters threw the paper onto the pitch when Chelsea's players came to take corners at that end.
The FA is reviewing footage and will assess referee Anthony Taylor’s match report as part of their investigation, potentially leading to further action.
