Everton star, Alex Iwobi believed playing in front of their teeming fans at Goodison Park will give the team extra motivation when they face Newcastle United on Thursday.

The Toffees are still hovering around the relegation zone and must win the game to boost their chances of survival.

Sean Dyche’s men held Crystal Palace to a 0-0 draw at Selhurst Park last Saturday.

Newcastle United on the other hand completely pulverized Tottenham Hotspur 6-1 the following day.

“It’s another game at home with the fans behind us,” Iwobi told Everton’s official website
“That should lift and motivate us. Newcastle are coming off the back of a good win, but we’ve got the motivation and a couple of players coming back. Doucs and Dom are back.”

Iwobi has scored one goal and recorded six assists in 31 league appearances for the Merseysiders this season.
