Kevin De Bruyne has declared Pep Guardiola, his Etihad manager, to be the finest in the world.
De Bruyne joined Manchester in 2015, followed by Guardiola a year later.
Both men have helped City to a strong Premier League position, but they have yet to win a European Cup with the club.
De Bruyne is confident Manchester City will win the Premier League this season, despite losing in the final last year to Chelsea.
He told Metro, "The Champions League is usually a huge one."
"We've tried to win it before, and now we're going to try again." We've always been in the final phases; now we'll try, and I'll try to give it my all. "
He also credited Guardiola with giving many of their Premier League rivals an identity.
When he came in, he gave me a lot of confidence. Tactically, I think he is the best in the world, "De Bruyne claims.
“He has his own philosophy and that is what he sticks by. People don’t always understand, but it’s his way of life.
Half the Premier League now plays in the same way as he does, but he will always have done it first.
