Nantes' winger, Moses Simon, is set to undergo surgery for a fractured left leg ankle injury on Friday.

The injury occurred during Nigeria's friendly match against Mali on Tuesday when Simon collided with Mali goalkeeper Mamadou Samassa in the first half of the game.

Unfortunately, Nantes confirmed on Wednesday that Simon will not be able to play for the rest of the season due to this injury. This news comes as a significant setback for the team, especially as they are currently fighting to avoid relegation.

Simon has been a key player for Nantes this season, contributing three goals and six assists so far. His absence will be felt on the field by the team.
