Last week, Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola said that his team's rigorous schedule caused medical staff to treat 71 separate injuries.

Guardiola made the announcement during his news conference ahead of Wednesday's match against Brighton.

According to the Spaniard, City's two double-headers against Liverpool and Atletico Madrid have cost them money.

Kyle Walker and Kevin De Bruyne were both injured at the Wanda Metropolitano, and Walker will miss the match against Brighton.

“Our physios made 71 treatments in the space between Atletico Madrid and the semifinal against Liverpool.
“The full figure is 71. It’s true. I saw the people there. The doctor came to me.
It’s not for one game, it’s after three "finals." When they come and say Kyle [Walker] is ready, but he didn’t play many minutes, you can handle it, "Guardiola said.
