According to reports, Manchester United and Al Nassr of Saudi Arabia have agreed to loan out striker Vincent Aboubakar for the rest of the season.

Following the termination of Cristiano Ronaldo's contract in November of last year, Man United is searching for a new center forward in the winter transfer market. Since then, the captain of Portugal has teamed up with Aboubakar at Al-Nassr.

Aboubakar has been playing for Al Nassr for the past 18 months and has scored 13 goals in 39 appearances for the Middle Eastern club in all competitions, including four goals in 12 games so far this season.

The fact that Aboubakar is available and that Al-Nassr is willing to allow the 30-year-old to go out on loan has 'alarmed' Man United.

Ronaldo's arrival means that Al-Nassr has more foreign players than are permitted in their first-team squad, and until one of their remaining seven foreign players leaves the club, Ronaldo cannot be registered.

According to Saudi Arabian news outlet OKAZ, Manchester United and Turkish giants Fenerbahce have an agreement in place to take Aboubakar on loan this January, with the Cameroonian expected to favor a move to the Premier League.

Aboubakar’s potential temporary move to Old Trafford would not only strengthen Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag’s options in attack but would also allow Ronaldo to be officially registered by Al-Nassr.
