Former England star Danny Mills has urged Manchester United to make Cristiano Ronaldo’s “life a misery” and to keep him until his contract expires in 2023.
Mills stated this on talkSPORT in reaction to Ronaldo’s interview with Piers Morgan. Ronaldo claimed he feels “betrayed” by United and doesn’t respect manager Erik ten Hag.
Many fans and pundits believe the 37-year-old did the interview to force a transfer away from Old Trafford.
But Mills has advised the Premier League side to block a move and fine Ronaldo as much as they possibly can.
“I don’t think he will play for Manchester United again. But I’d be tempted if I were Manchester United to just let him rot.
“If you want to punish him, stop him from going to play somewhere, keep him at the football club, and make him do everything possible and make his life a misery,” Mills said.
