According to rumors, Manchester United is ahead of Premier League rivals Arsenal in the fight for Napoli attacker Victor Osimhen.
Despite missing time due to injury, the Nigerian international has been in excellent form for the Partenopei this season.
In 28 appearances for the Blues this season, Osimhen has scored 16 goals and contributed five assists in all competitions.
The 23-year-old's contract with the Blues has more than three years left on it, but there has been talk about his future in recent months.
The former Lille striker was also linked with a move to another Premier League club, Newcastle United, in January.
Arsenal were thought to be in pole position for the forward, but Manchester United, according to Corriere dello Sport, are now leading the race for Osimhen.
Osimhen’s agent, Roberto Calenda, according to the report, has also held talks with Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis and sporting director Cristiano Guintolli over the player’s future.
Napoli would allegedly be prepared to sell the talented striker during this summer’s transfer window if they received an offer in the region of £67m.
