Manchester United is set to beat Chelsea to the signing of Watford starlet Harry Amass.
Amass has become one of the most sought-after England teenagers in recent years after first making an appearance for an England youth side in 2021.
The defender was named among the substitutes for Watford’s FA Cup tie with Reading in January.
Despite having only made appearances for Watford’s youth teams so far in his career, the 16-year-old has been touted for a big future in the game.
According to the Evening Standard, Amass is set to join Manchester United, having been enticed by their offer ahead of Chelsea and other clubs.
Amass is said to view moving to a bigger club and thus making use of better facilities as a key step in his development.
